Charles River Associates (CRA) is a global consulting firm specializing in economic, financial, and business management expertise. The Antitrust and Competition Economics practice is renowned for providing economic analysis, advice, and testimony in antitrust and merger cases worldwide. Clients include government agencies, law firms, and corporations of all sizes. CRA's consultants are known for clear communication of sophisticated economic analysis in complex cases.

As an Associate Principal, you will work closely with leading academics and consult with attorneys and clients in industry and government on a wide variety of finance, strategy, and economics issues. Your role will involve conducting research in a supportive, team-oriented environment, acting as a primary point of contact for clients, and assisting in the development and presentation of client deliverables, including expert reports summarizing opinions, conclusions, and recommendations. You will independently conceptualize and identify issues, design complex economic and financial models, and perform regression analysis using statistical programs such as Stata, SAS, R, or Python. Managing the research process and supervising, training, and mentoring junior analysts will also be key responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background with an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or another quantitative discipline. A graduate degree plus 3-10 years of experience, preferably in consulting, is desired. Demonstrated understanding of economic concepts and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods is essential. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required, along with experience in programming, model building, and regression analysis using languages such as Stata, R, Python, or SAS.

CRA offers a work environment that enables colleagues to benefit from being together in the office to best deliver on career growth, mentorship, and inclusivity. While most work is done in the office, minimal travel is required. CRA provides internal training programs focused on creative problem-solving, communications, and leadership, along with extracurricular activities where you can take on a leadership role in recruiting, training, and volunteer activities in the local community.

To apply, submit a resume including your current address, personal email, and telephone number. A cover letter describing your interest in CRA and how this role matches your goals is voluntary. A writing sample, preferably a sole-authored submission from existing work, is also voluntary.
