Associate Scientist- Aquatic Ecotoxocology
Eurofins Agroscience Services is seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Ecotoxicology team at our Easton, MD facility. As part of a global leader in life sciences, this role contributes to our mission of ensuring environmental safety through rigorous scientific research. The Easton laboratory, our largest in North America, houses over 100 scientists dedicated to biological, toxicology, chemistry, and environmental fate studies.
The Associate Scientist will conduct routine and moderately complex experiments in compliance with regulatory standards such as DEA, EPA, FDA, FIFRA, and OECD. Responsibilities include utilizing various scientific techniques, adhering to project schedules, performing data analysis and peer reviews, preparing comprehensive reports, and potentially serving as a client contact. The role may also involve analyzing chemical properties and handling regulated or biohazard materials.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, environmental studies, or a related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for the degree requirement. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, though a master's degree may offset this experience requirement. Preferred qualifications include coursework or experience in microbiology, mycology, or phycology, and familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, along with excellent communication and attention to detail, are essential.
