As an Automation Technician at Vention, you will be responsible for assembling, integrating, and deploying automation and robotic systems from initial build through to installation. This role involves hands-on work with mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components, as well as configuring and tuning automation applications to meet specific project requirements. You will support testing, quality control, and shipment preparation, and participate in on-site deployments and client support to ensure successful commissioning. Additionally, you will plan your workload based on team priorities, identify issues early, and collaborate with project engineers and cross-functional teams to keep projects moving efficiently.

Key responsibilities include organizing the workspace to ensure efficiency, participating in the mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical assembly of systems and equipment, adjusting, wiring, and tuning Vention’s automation and robotic applications, and participating in the installation of assembled equipment and automation. You will also be involved in the testing phase of turnkey projects to validate machine specifications, integrating automation components and configuring automated systems, providing feedback through designated tools, executing on-site deployment and client support activities, conducting quality control activities prior to shipping customer products, and participating in the dismantling and shipping of equipment and assemblies. Autonomously planning your workload based on team production priorities, identifying discrepancies or lack of information, supporting the Project Engineer in auxiliary tasks when necessary, executing support tasks with other departments, and using resourcefulness in assigned tasks are also part of your duties.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced work environment and hold a technical diploma in mechanical engineering, automation, or robotics. You should be a proactive problem solver, capable of identifying and reporting issues and generating solutions, with attention to detail in the context of customer satisfaction. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
