Senior Supply Chain Specialist - Electronics & Automation
As a Senior Supply Chain Specialist - Electronics & Automation at Vention, you will lead and optimize the global supply chain for electrical and electronic components, including PCBs, harnesses, sensors, motors, and control modules. This role involves shaping sourcing strategies, building strong supplier partnerships, and ensuring cost, quality, and delivery performance align with Vention's rapid growth. You will guide a team of buyers and collaborate across Engineering, Production, and Quality to enable scalable manufacturing operations worldwide.
Your key responsibilities will include leading sourcing and procurement for electrical, electronic, and automation components, developing and executing category strategies that balance cost, lead time, quality, and risk, and collaborating with Engineering on new product introductions and design-for-manufacturing to ensure supply readiness. Additionally, you will manage supplier relationships, oversee ERP/MRP planning, monitor industry trends, and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with several years of procurement or sourcing experience focused on electrical, electronic, or automation components. A strong understanding of electronic assemblies, PCBs, wiring harnesses, motors, and electrical control systems is essential. Experience supporting new product introductions, design-for-manufacturing discussions, and cross-functional work with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing is also required. Proven expertise in supplier management, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement, as well as familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics, will be advantageous.
