Autonomy Systems & Release Engineer
As an Autonomy Systems & Release Engineer at Wayve, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration and deployment of our autonomous driving technology. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will oversee the release lifecycle, transforming our sophisticated AI-driven driving models into stable, production-ready systems that power our global fleet. This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of autonomous vehicle technology within a dynamic and innovative company.
Your primary responsibilities will include leading the end-to-end deployment process for our autonomous stack, ensuring each release meets rigorous safety and performance standards. You will make critical go/no-go decisions, prioritize essential patches, and collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps teams to refine continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Additionally, you will proactively identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks, enhancing engineering velocity and maintaining the operational safety of our fleet.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated leadership in complex, cross-functional environments, with a strong understanding of robotics, autonomous systems, and machine learning-based products. Proficiency in systems thinking, problem-solving under ambiguity, and the ability to design and assess evaluation strategies are essential. Hands-on technical expertise, particularly in release management, integration workflows, and large-scale software deployment pipelines, is highly desirable.
