The AV Account Director at WPP Media leads the planning and buying of audio-visual media across a portfolio of clients, including easyJet, National Express, Hawkstone, Westons, and Karo. This role is pivotal in delivering market-leading AV strategies encompassing TV, BVOD/VOD, Cinema, and Audio, ensuring excellence in both agency and client investment objectives. The position involves building strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders and client teams, leading responses to briefs, overseeing campaign delivery, and shaping future-facing AV recommendations to drive client growth.

Key responsibilities include leading AV planning and buying efforts, delivering implementational planning across various AV channels, and owning responses to client briefs with clear, insight-led storytelling. The role also involves overseeing the investment process to ensure value, quality, and delivery, building and maintaining strong client relationships, managing and developing the AV planning and buying team, and driving innovation in AV output, including activation opportunities in addressable TV, video, and audio. Additionally, the AV Account Director is expected to contribute to new business pitches and support the transition of new clients as needed.

The ideal candidate possesses strong AV planning and buying experience across TV, BVOD/VOD, Online Video, Cinema, and Audio, with a deep understanding of audience planning and the ability to translate insights into effective AV recommendations. They should have strong marketplace knowledge, staying abreast of industry developments, viewing trends, and content. Proficiency in industry planning and research tools such as BARB, TGI, and Touchpoints is essential. Proven experience in leading client accounts, building trusted senior client relationships, and managing and developing teams with a clear and inclusive leadership style is also required.
