The Bank Regulatory Counsel at Payoneer is a pivotal role within the company's legal team, focusing on complex bank regulatory, trust, and stablecoin matters. Based in New York City, this position reports directly to the Global Regulatory Counsel and collaborates closely with various business leaders to ensure compliance and strategic alignment. In this role, the Regulatory Counsel will provide legal guidance on significant bank regulatory issues, assist in the development and management of complex regulatory matters, and support the establishment and maintenance of strong relationships with U.S. banking regulators and government agencies. The position also involves researching and analyzing rapidly evolving federal and state banking regulations, keeping abreast of regulatory changes that may impact Payoneer's strategic objectives, and collaborating with external counsel as needed. Additionally, the role supports various internal teams, including business, finance, and treasury, in the development of new services, fostering strong interdepartmental relationships.

Candidates should be fully qualified lawyers with excellent academic credentials, admitted to practice in the United States, and possess at least five years of post-admission experience in a reputable law firm or relevant in-house legal department. Experience in the financial services and banking industry is essential, and familiarity with working directly with bank regulators and regulatory authorities is advantageous. The ideal candidate will have the ability to evaluate complex legal issues, analyze statutes and regulations, and provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders. An innovative mindset, comfort with new technologies, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are crucial for success in this role.

Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary ranging from $200,000 to $220,000, with eligibility for a year-end discretionary bonus.
