Business Continuity and Resilience Officer
Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Business Continuity and Resilience Officer to join its growing international team. Based in Barcelona, Spain, this role is part of the IT Risk Management function, focusing on ensuring the continuity, robustness, and resilience of Eurofins' global IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across Central Services, Regional Infrastructure, and laboratories worldwide to strengthen operational resilience and continuity across the organization.
Key responsibilities include designing, planning, and executing global projects focused on Business Continuity and IT Resilience. The officer will lead comprehensive continuity and resilience assessments across the organization, identifying and mitigating IT-related risks. Additionally, they will develop and improve methodologies for business continuity planning, resilience frameworks, and IT risk assessments, while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and IT teams globally.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Proven experience in Business Continuity Management, IT Risk Management, and cybersecurity is essential. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, development practices, and security controls, along with a solid understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM/SOAR, data center operations, and network design, is required. The candidate should be independent, structured, and confident, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to challenge the status quo. Excellent communication skills in English are necessary, with the capability to explain continuity and risk-related topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
