As a Business Development Manager at Capital on Tap, you will be an integral part of our dynamic Sales team, contributing to the growth of our financial platform designed to support small businesses. With over 200,000 customers and £20 billion in annual card spend, Capital on Tap offers a suite of products including business credit cards and spend management tools. This role is based in Manchester, with a hybrid work model requiring three days in the office following a three-month training period.

In this position, you will manage the entire sales cycle, from sourcing and qualifying new SME leads to early account management. Your responsibilities will include making 30–50 outbound calls daily to engage business owners and decision-makers, representing our credit card offerings, and closing impactful deals. Achieving quarterly targets by converting new customers and driving early usage is essential, all while adhering to strong compliance standards and FCA regulations to protect customers.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in 360-sales, encompassing prospecting and early account management, with strong outbound B2B prospecting and lead-generation skills. Experience with high-volume cold-calling and outreach is crucial, along with a high level of ownership, urgency, and accountability for targets. The ability to set and manage daily activity goals and a commitment to high standards and excellent customer service are also required.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from £30,000 to £38,000, complemented by an uncapped commission structure.
