Business Development Manager, China
Headout is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our APAC Business Team, focusing on expanding our presence in China. Reporting to the Regional General Manager for APAC and MENA, this role is pivotal in driving our commercial success and market growth within one of the world's most dynamic travel markets. As the primary representative of Headout in China, you will collaborate with supply partners and travel experience providers to enhance relationships, broaden our offerings, and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, reaching out to, and onboarding new supply partners and distribution-side partnerships across China. You will continuously nurture relationships with existing supply partners to leverage them for additional growth. Collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Tech, and Marketing teams, is essential to ensure smooth execution of partnerships and the growth of bookings. Additionally, you will analyze market trends and provide market and competitor analysis to optimize business strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, preferably within consumer tech startups. Fluency in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, is required. A global mindset and comfort working with people from different cultural backgrounds and time zones are essential. A start-up attitude—highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial mindset and not afraid to roll up your sleeves—is crucial. Experience working with a CRM and a willingness to learn and use new tools are also important. Candidates may be based in Shanghai.
