Business Development Manager, Debt Finance (Asia Pacific)
Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Debt Finance team in the Asia Pacific region. This role is integral to the firm's global strategy, focusing on client and market development within the Debt Finance sector. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team, supporting various sub-product areas such as Leveraged & Infrastructure Finance, Private Credit, Corporate/Acquisition Finance, Asset Finance, Real Estate Finance, and Fund Finance.
In this hands-on role, the Business Development Manager will collaborate directly with Debt Finance team members and key stakeholders to implement business development strategies. Responsibilities include supporting the execution of business development plans, coordinating product offerings and initiatives, leveraging market insights to identify opportunities, and contributing to significant practice/product pitches. The role also involves organizing client events, seminars, conferences, and assisting with marketing communications projects.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in professional services business development, preferably within a law firm, and a strong understanding of Debt Finance work types. A sound commercial awareness of legal market development, particularly in relation to Debt Finance, is essential. The ability to develop advisory relationships with partners, strong project management and organizational skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills are also required. A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is preferred.
