Business Development Manager Key Accounts - Indiana & Illinois
Eurofins is seeking a Business Development Manager to oversee key accounts in Indiana and Illinois. This role involves managing sales of Eurofins Discovery's comprehensive portfolio, which includes chemistry and pharmacology products and services. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing drug discovery solutions for clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining and expanding business within assigned key accounts by identifying new therapeutic areas and revenue opportunities. Key duties include prospecting within accounts to identify client needs, building and nurturing client relationships through strategic selling and regular business reviews, and providing feedback to inform operational strategies. The role also involves developing strategic account plans with measurable goals, monitoring competitor activities, and collaborating with internal teams to implement effective marketing and sales strategies. Travel is expected approximately 30-50% of the time.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of field sales experience with a strong understanding of drug discovery, particularly in discovery chemistry. Experience in developing and managing large key accounts within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors is essential. A minimum of a B.S. degree in chemistry, pharmacology, or a related discipline is required, along with a solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug discovery and development process. Familiarity with the CRO market and the ability to analyze and act on global business trends are also important. Strong presentation skills and a collaborative nature to work with multiple internal stakeholders are necessary.
