Business Development Representative
As a Business Development Representative at Canva, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence within the U.S. market. Collaborating closely with the Sales and Success teams, you will be instrumental in identifying and pursuing strategic pipeline opportunities, driving demand generation, and delivering impactful results. This position offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, with our U.S. operations based in Austin, Texas.
Your primary responsibilities will include proactively building the sales pipeline through cold outreach, social selling, and conducting qualification meetings before transitioning prospects to Canva Consultants. You will gain in-depth knowledge of Canva's technologies, territories, accounts, competitors, and industry trends. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives. Utilizing tools such as Salesforce, Pocus, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Gong, you will maintain pipeline generation and hygiene strategies, consistently delivering on weekly, monthly, and quarterly key performance metrics.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of generating sales opportunities and driving revenue growth. Excellent communication, negotiation, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential. You should be organized, possess strong time management skills, and be goal-oriented, capable of achieving individual goals while thriving in a team environment. Experience with cold outreach across various channels, including phone, email, social media, and mailer campaigns, is preferred. Familiarity with Salesforce, outreach tools, and cold calling is also advantageous.
