Business Unit Manager - Eurofins Built Environment Testing, Pasadena, TX

The Business Unit Manager at Eurofins Built Environment Testing in Pasadena, TX, is responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory policies, and leading a team to meet financial and operational goals. This role involves supervising all laboratory personnel and serving as a liaison with corporate business partners to champion company policies, vision, and mission.

Key responsibilities include leading the team, scheduling, and training employees, ensuring adherence to the highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations, and fostering morale and teamwork. The manager will oversee daily operations, including laboratory, quality, logistic, and managerial duties, and will be responsible for budgeting, making decisions on capital expenses, managing senior staff, attending to major client needs, revenue and profit growth, and cost control.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent directly-related experience. A minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience and at least 10 years of professional experience in laboratory operations, with a minimum of 5 years in laboratory operations or large/multi-department/team leadership with profit/loss accountability, are required. Familiarity with laboratory operations and services, as well as EPA, DOT, OSHA, and DOL regulations, is essential. Excellent verbal and written skills, strong customer relations skills, and the ability to manage a business at a profit/loss responsibility level are also necessary.
