Case Manager
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a Case Manager to join their team in Irvine, California. The firm is united by one mission: For the People. As a Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in assisting attorneys with case management, settlement development, and client interactions.
In this role, you will be responsible for daily interactions with existing and potential clients, both via telephone and in person. You will order medical records from providers and communicate with clients and providers during the course of treatment. Additionally, you will obtain documents necessary to support injury and/or liability positions, interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances, and work directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files. Maintaining organized case files and preparing comprehensive demands for submission to carriers under the direct supervision of an attorney are also key responsibilities. You will interact with attorneys and present case synopses when required, and manage case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager or Prelitigation Paralegal (strongly preferred). At least 2 years of working in a legal position or insurance adjuster experience is strongly preferred. The candidate should be a team player who can follow procedures and proactively interact with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision is essential. Strong writing and communication skills, along with attention to detail, are required. Extensive computer and database expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing no less than 35 wpm, are necessary. Please note that remote and/or hybrid work options are not eligible for this position.
