The Cash Balance Plan Administrator role at Strongpoint Partners involves administering and consulting on small to mid-sized Cash Balance and Defined Benefit plans. This position is part of the Cash Balance Actuaries (CBA) team, a partner of Strongpoint Partners specializing in Cash Balance and Defined Benefit plan consulting and administration. Strongpoint Partners is a tech-enabled retirement services platform serving small- to mid-sized businesses with integrated retirement third-party administration, recordkeeping, payroll, and HR solutions.

Key responsibilities include preparing actuarial valuations for Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plans in accordance with IRS regulations, performing annual nondiscrimination testing for qualified retirement plans, completing PBGC filings and required notices, preparing annual FASB reports, generating participant statements and distribution packages, and preparing and filing government forms, including Form 5500 and Schedule SB. The role also involves conducting plan design studies and projections to ensure compliance with nondiscrimination requirements, maintaining and reviewing plan documents, supporting plan terminations and related IRS/PBGC filings, participating in client consulting engagements, and managing client relationships to deliver high-quality service.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience working with small plan actuarial services, strong knowledge of Cash Balance and Defined Benefit plans, and an understanding of business entities and their impact on plan design and compensation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. The role requires comfort working independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
