Chemist I
Eurofins is seeking a Chemist I to join our investigative and custom projects laboratory in Tustin, California. This role involves performing analytical testing to support monograph testing, unknown/failure analysis, and other specialized areas. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality analytical services across various industries.
Key responsibilities include conducting testing activities as directed by the Department Supervisor, utilizing wet chemistry techniques such as gravimetry, titrimetry, and colorimetry. The role also involves operating instrumentation like HPLC, GC, ICP, ICP-MS, and IC. Additional duties encompass maintaining accurate records, entering data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), reviewing analytical data, monitoring laboratory environmental conditions, performing equipment calibrations, and assisting with inventory management.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related field. Preferred qualifications include experience with HPLC, GC, and wet chemistry techniques. Familiarity with ISO 17025, DEA, EPA, FDA, and related guidelines is advantageous. Candidates should be local to Southern California and comfortable commuting to Tustin Monday through Friday. Technical proficiency with instruments such as GC-MS, HPLC, DSC, and TGA is important, along with a willingness to learn and grow technically.
Compensation for this position ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with potential for performance-based bonuses.
