Chemist - Proximate

Eurofins is seeking a Chemist specializing in proximate analysis to join our team in Mumbai, India. As a global leader in food testing, Eurofins provides comprehensive analytical services to ensure the quality and safety of food products. The Chemist will be responsible for maintaining and operating Gas Chromatography Flame Ionization Detectors (GC FID) and conducting analyses of proximate parameters, including UV parameters and fatty acids. Additional duties include managing samples before and after analysis, maintaining the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, performing method verification and validation, preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and interpreting analytical results.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry and have 3-4 years of experience working in a food testing laboratory. Proficiency in proximate analysis, water analysis, general instrument analysis, and allergen analysis is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are also required.
