Collateral Associate (Capital Markets – Residential Mortgage Due Diligence)
Figure is seeking a Collateral Associate to join its Capital Markets team, focusing on residential mortgage due diligence. This role is integral to supporting whole loan sales and securitizations, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of collateral documentation. Figure is a leading fintech company leveraging blockchain technology to transform capital markets, having originated over $22 billion in home equity loans.
The Collateral Associate will be responsible for preparing loan-level due diligence samples for third-party review, tracking due diligence reviews and findings, and resolving loan-level exceptions. The role involves coordinating across capital markets, credit, operations, and external counterparties to support whole loan sales and securitizations through closing. Maintaining trackers, exception logs, and investor reporting are also key responsibilities.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, along with 2–4 years of residential mortgage due diligence experience at a bank, rating agency, originator, TPR firm, or residential credit investor. A strong understanding of mortgage loans and collateral documentation is essential. Experience with loan data tapes, exception tracking, and proficiency in Excel are required. Exposure to HELOC, Non-QM, DSCR, RTL mortgage products, and experience with whole loan or securitization diligence workflows are advantageous.
The base compensation range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000 per year, with a 25% annual bonus target paid quarterly. Company equity in the form of RSUs is also offered.
