College Marketing Representative, Houston - The Orchard

The Orchard, a leading full-service music distribution company operating in 48 markets worldwide, is seeking a part-time College Marketing Representative in Houston. This role is designed for undergraduate students passionate about music and marketing, offering an opportunity to promote The Orchard's artists within the local community.

As a College Marketing Representative, you will be responsible for promoting 10–20 artists each month through a combination of digital and in-person marketing strategies. Your tasks will include organizing listening events, campus activations, and creating social media content to enhance artist visibility. Additionally, you will collaborate with student organizations, local businesses, record stores, DJs, and promoters to build meaningful exposure for new releases and touring artists across various genres.

Ideal candidates should be currently enrolled as undergraduate students at a four-year university in Houston, with at least two years remaining before graduation. A strong passion for music, an understanding of how peers discover and consume music, and a keen interest in music business and marketing are essential. Proficiency in social media marketing, with an active presence on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube, is required. The role demands approximately 20 hours of work per week, with flexibility for team conference calls and tour coverage.
