Commercial Counsel
As Commercial Counsel at GC AI, you will be an integral part of our commercial legal team, directly contributing to the rapid growth of our legal AI platform. Reporting initially to the General Counsel and transitioning to the Associate General Counsel, Commercial, you will handle routine commercial matters independently and collaborate with senior team members on more complex negotiations. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in high-volume commercial transactions within a dynamic B2B SaaS environment.
Your primary responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements, such as NDAs, standard-form agreements, and moderate-complexity redlines. You will support our sales and business development teams throughout deal cycles, managing multiple priorities with quick turnaround times. Additionally, you will contribute to building scalable legal processes and developing self-serve resources to empower business teams.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, along with 3-7 years of experience in technology transactions, particularly within the B2B SaaS sector. Strong drafting and negotiation skills, the ability to work independently on routine commercial matters, and excellent communication skills to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders are essential. Experience supporting sales or business development teams and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure are also required.
GC AI offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $141,000 to $191,000, equity options, and exceptional benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, location, and market demand.
