LinkedIn is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its Legal & Public Policy team, focusing on the Subscriptions business. This role involves addressing complex legal and business issues in a fast-growing, innovative environment. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Chicago, or Washington D.C., with a hybrid work arrangement.

The Commercial Counsel will independently draft, review, and negotiate technology-related agreements, including subscription agreements, data processing agreements, channel partner agreements, order forms, addenda, and non-disclosure agreements. They will collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely closure of sales transactions in accordance with corporate policies. Additionally, the role involves acting as a trusted legal partner to the government sales organization and driving strategic projects that positively impact business results and sales opportunities.

Candidates must possess a J.D. and admission to the bar or the ability to practice in-house in the specified office locations. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a technology transactions attorney is required, including experience in software licensing, cloud services, and/or AI-related transactions. Preferred qualifications include experience with government sales transactions, indirect sales transactions, proficiency in data privacy and security frameworks, familiarity with FAR/DFARS provisions, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

The compensation for this role ranges from $123,000 to $200,000, with actual packages based on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and office location.
