Compliance Consultant - AML, Financial Crime Compliance (FCC)
Axiom is seeking a Compliance Consultant specializing in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) to support a global fintech client in Singapore. This role involves leading the enhancement of the client's FCC framework, ensuring alignment with global standards while addressing local regulatory requirements. The position is remote, offering flexibility for professionals based in Singapore.
In this role, the Compliance Consultant will be responsible for setting and tracking goals for the FCC team, managing daily AML regulatory interactions—including inspections and examinations—and serving as the primary contact for regulators, banks, payment schemes, and other external partners on FCC/AML matters. Additional duties include overseeing core AML/FCC activities such as enhanced due diligence, reviewing and escalating screening alerts, preparing suspicious matter reports, providing risk-based compliance advice to commercial and operations teams, and supporting regular governance and reporting to senior management.
Candidates should have 3–10 years of experience in AML/FCC or regulatory compliance, preferably within financial services, fintech, or professional firms. Exposure to Singapore's AML/CFT requirements, such as MAS guidelines, is advantageous. Hands-on experience with AML tasks like customer due diligence, name screening, alerts handling, and suspicious transaction reporting is essential. Experience dealing with regulators or supporting regulatory examinations is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong documentation skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders are also required.
This position offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage. Axiom provides access to professional development resources and learning programs. While the role is predominantly remote, some clients may require on-site presence.
