Compliance Operations Manager
The Compliance Operations Manager at Tipalti plays a pivotal role in the company's corporate onboarding program, ensuring that all customer relationships are initiated in compliance with established procedures. This position is integral to Tipalti's mission of streamlining global finance operations, providing a seamless and compliant experience for clients.
Key responsibilities include collecting, reviewing, and analyzing 'Know Your Customer' (KYC) information and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy. The role involves identifying prohibited and high-risk customer industries, performing screenings for politically exposed persons (PEPs), sanctions, and negative news, and conducting both standard and enhanced due diligence on new customers across multiple corporate entities. Additionally, the Compliance Operations Manager leads due diligence reviews, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and assists in internal quality assurance checks for the KYC team.
Candidates should possess demonstrated experience in KYC and anti-money laundering (AML) processes, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines. A sound understanding of AML and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) laws and regulations is essential, along with excellent problem-solving abilities and proficiency in Google and Microsoft products. The role requires a proactive, resourceful, and methodical approach to delivering results, as well as the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
