Harbor is seeking a Consultant in Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) to join our Corporate Legal Technology team. This team specializes in evaluating legal processes and technology, developing technology roadmaps, system selection and implementation, and change management. We collaborate with leading vendors to provide clients with product-specific expertise and market insights. Our goal is to assist corporate legal departments in enhancing operational efficiency, managing data effectively, and utilizing technology to mitigate risk and cost.

In this role, you will work closely with Harbor project team members and clients to lead requirements gathering and analysis, execute legal technology best practices, and apply our methodologies to facilitate the selection, implementation, and optimization of legal technology systems. As a Consultant, you will collaborate with both senior and junior-level internal resources to help manage the project lifecycle. This is a full-time, remote position available to candidates across the United States, with a preference for those who can work in a hybrid capacity from our Chicago headquarters.

Key responsibilities include leveraging industry knowledge, organizational skills, and project management experience to support all aspects of projects, such as facilitating requirements gathering, preparing process documentation, and implementing identified solutions. You will support client business process reviews, identify key business requirements, and transform these into technical requirements and designs. Additionally, you will draft deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, configure and develop technologies based on technical requirements, administer system testing, track defects, and collaborate with technology providers and clients to resolve issues. Managing project scope, schedules, workplans, timelines, and budgets, as well as maintaining client relationships, are also integral parts of this role.

The ideal candidate will have over three years of relevant experience in the legal or consulting industry, such as in-house legal departments, law firms, legal software providers, or consulting firms. Experience in legal technology, including assessments, requirements gathering, system design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment, is essential. Proficiency with ELM/eBilling and Matter Management, Legal Hold, and Legal Workflow tools is required. Experience with systems like TeamConnect and CounselLink is preferred, along with related data migration and integration workstreams. A four-year degree in fields such as Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Data & Analytics, or an equivalent combination of experience and education is necessary. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and project management experience are also important.

Harbor offers a collaborative and values-driven team environment where your contributions are valued. We provide competitive compensation, profit-sharing, and comprehensive benefits. Our flexible work culture includes unlimited PTO and remote work options. We support growth opportunities across practice areas and clients, offering a front-row seat in transforming legal service delivery at scale. Joining Harbor means being part of a mission-driven team that values innovation, ownership, and impact.
