Content Writer (Crypto)
Chainalysis' content team produces the reports that shape how the world understands cryptocurrency. Working alongside our in-house subject matter experts and investigators, our writers translate on-chain activity into clear, actionable insights for regulators, law enforcement and intelligence agencies, compliance teams, and journalists. We cover global policy, DeFi, sanctions enforcement, mixing services, and more — but above all, we're storytellers making sense of a complex subject. As a member of our team, you'll help define Chainalysis' public voice, producing work cited by the world's leading publications.
In this role, you’ll:
- Write quick-turn blog posts that break down the news of the day.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to document criminal crypto activity.
- Contribute to our biannual flagship reports on crypto crime and the global on-chain economy.
- Develop long-term content ideas alongside our Research and Marketing teams.
- Investigate complex trends across DeFi and mainstream crypto adoption.
- Use Chainalysis' investigative tools to strengthen your storytelling.
- Own the accuracy of your work from sourcing to publication.
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- 3+ years of professional writing experience, ideally in a newsroom or comparable editorial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial, technical, or regulatory topics in plain language — without buzzwords.
- Working knowledge of the crypto industry, including how blockchains, exchanges, DeFi protocols and stablecoins function in practice.
- Experience adapting tone and voice for distinct audiences (e.g., policymakers, compliance professionals, general readers).
- A bachelor's degree in a writing-intensive field (journalism, English, communications, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
