Contractor, Human Resources Generalist

Lila Sciences is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Human Resources Generalist (Contract) to join our HR Operations team in Cambridge, MA. This role serves as the execution backbone of our HR Operations function, handling the day-to-day administration of the employee lifecycle, systems management, benefits support, and cross-functional HR tasks. The ideal candidate thrives on process ownership and is energized by bringing order and consistency to a growing organization.

Key responsibilities include executing end-to-end pre-boarding and onboarding processes, coordinating IT intake, setting up systems access, and preparing employee introduction materials. The HR Generalist will also support offboarding administration, process administrative HR actions across the employee lifecycle, generate employment letters, and maintain organized employee documentation in compliance with regulations.

The role requires 1–3+ years of HR experience with a focus on HR operations, administration, or coordination. Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, particularly HiBob and/or ADP, is advantageous. Strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision, and clear, professional communication skills are essential. The candidate must be local to the Cambridge, MA area and able to work in a hybrid capacity, averaging approximately three days per week onsite based on need.
