Lila Sciences is seeking a Physical Science Technical Writer to join our Government sector team in Cambridge, MA. This role serves as a critical link between our researchers and government clients, translating complex scientific findings into clear, actionable language for stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Government Partnerships, the writer will collaborate closely with scientists and the Grants Manager to develop technical components for proposals and ensure the highest standards of technical rigor in all deliverables.

Key responsibilities include producing briefings, white papers, and reports that accurately convey scientific research to government audiences, adapting content to meet the needs of clients, program officers, and agency stakeholders. The writer will also build and maintain a repository of reusable technical content, develop program documentation aligned with US and UK frameworks, and create visuals such as figures and diagrams to enhance comprehension.

Candidates must possess a Master's degree or higher in a physical science discipline, such as chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or physics. Demonstrated experience in translating complex scientific content for non-technical audiences, particularly in government or regulated environments, is essential. Strong organizational skills, exceptional written communication abilities, and proficiency in using AI tools to streamline writing processes are also required.
