Contracts Lawyer – 12M FTC

The Client Terms and Contracts Solutions Team at Clifford Chance is seeking a Contracts Lawyer for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This team is integral to the firm's General Counsel function, providing essential in-house legal support across global offices. The primary focus is on reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts with clients and suppliers, ensuring alignment with the firm's risk policies and standards.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts related to client engagements, advising on contractual issues for events, business development initiatives, secondments, and non-disclosure agreements. The role also involves assessing supplier contracts, updating terms for client use of legal technology platforms, contributing to internal policy updates, supervising Contracts Executives as needed, and enhancing the team's knowledge management and processes through technology.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract law, with experience in reviewing and negotiating complex agreements. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with partners, lawyers, and business professionals. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are also required.
