Corporate Legal Counsel
Similarweb is seeking a Corporate Legal Counsel to join their team in Santiago, Chile. This role is integral to providing legal guidance within a dynamic, fast-paced SaaS and data-driven environment. The Corporate Counsel will primarily support the Go-To-Market team, offering counsel on commercial legal matters to facilitate deal-making while ensuring adherence to the company's risk management parameters.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing commercial contracts such as SaaS subscription agreements, license and services agreements, service orders, and related documents with customers, partners, resellers, data licensors, and vendors. The role also involves providing practical, business-oriented legal advice to sales professionals and other stakeholders on legal and business issues, coordinating with global teams like Finance, Marketing, Security, and IT on commercial contracting matters to support company policies and procedures, assisting with entity management and other country-specific tasks related to Similarweb’s Chilean legal entity, and managing support from outside counsel as necessary.
Ideal candidates should have at least four years of commercial law experience, preferably including work in a large law firm and/or in-house at a technology company. Excellent English-language written and oral communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently to draft and close commercial agreements with minimal support from senior staff. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to work effectively within a globally distributed team and a fast-paced business environment. Candidates should be self-driven and highly motivated to contribute to the company's success, comfortable dealing with a global customer base, and able to communicate legal issues and solutions clearly and concisely.
