Corporate Onboarding Associate - 12 month FTC
Modulr is seeking a Corporate Onboarding Associate for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Edinburgh, UK. This role is integral to the First Line Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Operations Function, focusing on managing compliance assessments for complex clients. The position requires in-office presence four days a week.
The Corporate Onboarding Associate will be responsible for conducting client risk assessments and performing both simplified and enhanced customer due diligence during the corporate onboarding process. Key duties include conducting internal and external partner audits to ensure alignment with Modulr’s compliance framework, engaging with stakeholders to support compliance and onboarding processes, screening for Politically Exposed Persons and sanctioned individuals, and reviewing and recommending updates to policies and procedures in line with evolving compliance requirements.
Candidates should possess a curious mindset with a drive to explore how AI can make a real difference. A high-level understanding of relevant legislation and guidance, including the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 (as amended), the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, and the UK General Data Protection Regulation, is essential. Experience in corporate onboarding and compliance across sectors and jurisdictions, particularly with Know Your Business (KYB) and enhanced due diligence in both UK and EU contexts, is highly desirable. Strong analytical and communication skills, ethical judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities are also required.
