Corporate Paralegal
Axiom is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join our legal support team, providing assistance to our Fortune 500 clients. This role is based in Toronto, Canada, and requires full professional fluency in French, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken contexts.
The Corporate Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing claims and preparing and maintaining corporate records, board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and minute books to ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations. Additional duties include filing incorporation documents, corporate registrations, and amendments with federal and provincial authorities, assisting with mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other corporate transactions, including due diligence and document preparation, and monitoring and ensuring timely filing of annual returns, corporate updates, and statutory documents with government agencies.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate or commercial law in Canada, preferably in-house, with strong knowledge of corporate governance, incorporations, and statutory filings. Excellent communication and writing skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
The estimated total compensation for this role ranges from $64,000 to $201,000 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
