Corporate Paralegal Chicago
Axiom is seeking experienced corporate governance paralegals to join our team in Chicago. As a global leader in alternative legal services, Axiom provides on-demand legal talent to top Fortune 100 clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on temporary secondments, integrating seamlessly with client legal teams to deliver high-quality support.
In this position, you will assist clients' legal teams in drafting and reviewing corporate governance documents, including board resolutions, bylaws, policies, and charters. Your responsibilities will also encompass conducting research and analyzing legal and regulatory requirements related to corporate governance and compliance. Additionally, you will maintain and update corporate records, such as board and committee minutes, shareholder records, and other governance-related documents, and assist with the preparation and filing of corporate documents, including annual reports, proxy statements, and SEC filings.
Ideal candidates will have over four years of corporate governance experience as a paralegal in a large corporate in-house environment. A strong understanding of corporate governance principles, SEC regulations, and compliance requirements is essential. Proficiency in legal research tools, databases, and related software is required. Candidates should be open to working in an engagement-based role, seconded to clients on a temporary basis for approximately six months at a time.
The estimated total compensation for this role ranges from $71,250 to $309,750 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
