Counsel, Commercial
Alpaca is seeking a Counsel, Commercial to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing legal support for our commercial operations. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks associated with our business activities.
In this position, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and service level agreements. You will also provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders, assist in resolving disputes, and support the development of company policies and procedures. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying potential legal issues and proactively addressing them to safeguard the company's interests.
The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial contracting, preferably within the technology or financial services sectors, is required. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly are essential. Experience with regulatory compliance and familiarity with data privacy laws are also highly desirable.
