Airbnb is seeking a Counsel, Insurance to join its innovative legal team. This role involves collaborating with global business partners to provide practical regulatory and commercial legal advice across various jurisdictions. The position reports to the Associate General Counsel - Insurance and requires a high degree of self-sufficiency and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include providing legal guidance on insurance regulatory requirements related to Airbnb's user-facing products and services, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and insurance policies, advising design and marketing teams on insurance products, staying updated on relevant laws, supporting claims processes, drafting insurance-related legislation, responding to regulatory inquiries, and acting as a subject matter expert on insurance issues within the legal department.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. degree with active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and has over six years of legal experience, including more than four years in insurance regulatory matters. Experience in the U.S. is required, with exposure to regions such as Canada, EMEA, and/or APAC being advantageous. The candidate should be creative, adaptable, and business-oriented, capable of delivering concise, practical legal advice, and proficient in risk assessment and problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
