Country Content Strategy Specialist (12 Month Contract)
Canva is seeking a Country Content Strategy Specialist for a 12-month contract to lead content initiatives in Thailand and Vietnam. This role is integral to Canva's Southeast Asia Expansion team, focusing on driving relevance, scale, and measurable business impact across Monthly Active Users (MAU), retention, and revenue. The specialist will collaborate closely with the Regional Content Strategy Lead and Country Managers to align priorities and execute country-level plans.
Key responsibilities include owning and executing content strategies tailored for Thailand and Vietnam, ensuring content quality and cultural resonance to connect authentically with local users. The role involves leading discovery and performance across search, editorial, and recommendations, optimizing content for engagement and retention. Additionally, the specialist will drive editorial and trends leadership, identifying and activating cultural moments in partnership with Marketing, Social, and PR teams. Building relationships with local creators and partners to foster a thriving content ecosystem is also a crucial aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate possesses 3–5+ years of experience in content strategy, regional business operations, or similar roles within high-growth tech or media companies. A deep understanding of cultural trends, aesthetics, and user behaviors in Thailand and/or Vietnam is essential. The candidate should be adept at both strategic planning and hands-on execution, capable of leading cross-functional teams without formal authority. Proficiency in using data to drive decisions and fluency in Thai or Vietnamese (or both) are required to effectively work across both markets.
