Country Lead (South Africa) - CEX

The Country Lead (South Africa) will own end-to-end responsibility for the company’s market strategy, growth, and brand presence in South Africa. This role acts as the primary driver for user growth, trading volume, ecosystem partnerships, and local market positioning, while working closely with global teams.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing the overall country strategy for South Africa, with clear ownership of trading volume growth, user acquisition, and market expansion. The role involves leading and participating in online and offline marketing initiatives, including meetups, seminars, Web3 conferences, sponsorships, and KOL/VIP engagement events. Additionally, the Country Lead will build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with local ecosystem stakeholders, including KOLs, media, Web3 projects, communities, and institutional or VIP clients.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related fields, and over 5 years of experience in South Africa market leadership, business development, or market expansion roles. Experience in crypto, fintech, or internet platforms is highly preferred. A strong understanding of the South African Web3 ecosystem and digital asset exchange business models is essential, along with an established local industry network. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in cross-border and multicultural teams, are also required. Proficiency in English or Chinese is necessary.
