Criminal Defense Attorney
The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, A.P.C. is seeking a dedicated Criminal Defense Attorney to join their esteemed legal team in Bakersfield, California. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an admitted attorney to advance their career within a premier law firm known for its commitment to client advocacy and professional growth. As a Criminal Defense Attorney, you will report directly to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, providing legal counsel to clients, and representing them in various legal proceedings. Your duties will include advising clients on their legal rights, preparing and reviewing legal documents, attending pretrial hearings, conducting legal research, and analyzing case outcomes based on legal precedents. Additionally, you will be expected to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and develop effective case strategies to support your clients.
Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience handling criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels. Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach to teamwork, and a commitment to exceptional client service are essential. While bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, it is not a requirement. Candidates should also possess a Juris Doctorate degree and an active bar admission.
