Criminal Defense Legal Assistant

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC, a leading law firm specializing in criminal defense, immigration, personal injury, and employee rights, is seeking a Criminal Defense Legal Assistant to join their Dallas, Texas office. This role is integral to the firm's mission of providing exceptional, client-centered advocacy.

As a Criminal Defense Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining communication with clients, managing attorney schedules, and preparing criminal cases for trial. Your duties will include processing legal documents, data entry, correspondence, and assisting with court calendars. Additionally, you will coordinate with law enforcement and support victims with restitution information and court dates.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in criminal defense, a professional work history with transferable skills, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience as a paralegal or in another legal field is required, along with familiarity with case management software or computer charting programs.
