Data Analyst - Risk

Adyen is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Data Analyst to join its Enterprise Risk team in Amsterdam. This team plays a pivotal role within Adyen's Second Line organization, managing a diverse array of risk management topics, including financial, technology, strategic, and operational risks. The Data Analyst will contribute to reimagining risk management through technology, embedding functionalities that drive automation, optimization, and data-driven decision-making.

In this role, the Data Analyst will design and scale the foundation of Enterprise Risk's data capabilities, identifying growth areas to enhance team effectiveness. Responsibilities include developing, optimizing, and maintaining the Business Intelligence infrastructure on Looker using SQL and Python, creating scalable solutions to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, and driving the automation of manual risk assessment processes. The analyst will collaborate closely with various teams within Enterprise Risk to understand their needs and implement user-focused solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses over five years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or similar roles, with proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and BI tools like Looker. Experience with big data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Git, and Airflow is advantageous. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, demonstrate strong ownership and a bias for action, and effectively collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders. Experience with risk management, financial data, and banking is a significant plus.
