Adyen is seeking a Payment & Product Partnerships Counsel to join its newly established team within the Regulatory organization in Singapore. This role focuses on building and scaling the legal framework for Adyen's critical financial and technology infrastructure relationships across the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will serve as a principal advisor to partnerships, product, risk, and compliance teams, handling a broad range of transactions and relationships that span financial services ecosystems, business operations, and technology.

Key responsibilities include partnering with Adyen's payment and product partnerships teams to develop and manage strategic relationships with card networks, payment methods, financial institutions, and other partners supporting Adyen's product and technical stack. The role involves structuring, drafting, and negotiating strategic infrastructure partnership agreements to enhance Adyen's payments and financial products across APAC markets. Additionally, the counsel will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure partner deals align with regulatory positions and support product development, market expansion, and commercial objectives.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience as a qualified lawyer in both in-house and law firm roles, with significant experience working with financial institutions or technology companies on complex transactions. Proficiency in financial services partnership transactions, particularly involving regulated financial institutions and collaborations on unified financial products or services, is essential. Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, excellent English-language communication abilities, and a capacity to translate complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences are required. A proactive approach to self-education on complex business models and technologies, along with strong judgment and project management skills, is also expected.
