Data Engineer Manager, GOC

As a Data Engineer Manager at WPP Media's Global Operations Centre (GOC), you will collaborate with teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia to develop and maintain data engineering solutions. This role involves implementing, testing, and supporting components of advanced data platforms, contributing to mission-critical data pipelines across large-scale media datasets.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage. You will architect complex SQL solutions to support sophisticated analytics models and real-time data processing. Additionally, you will establish coding and architectural standards, participate in code reviews, and liaise with onshore leadership to drive strategic project coordination.

The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in Azure Data Factory, SQL, and cloud data platforms, preferably Azure. Proficiency in designing and managing large-scale data pipelines, SQL performance tuning, and CI/CD automation is essential. Advanced knowledge of production operations and high-availability data processing is also required.
