Data Scientist (Privacy)

Datavant is seeking a Data Scientist specializing in Privacy to join our team. As a leading health data platform, Datavant is dedicated to making the world's health data secure, accessible, and actionable. This role is integral to our Privacy Hub, which offers industry-leading, independent HIPAA disclosure risk assessment and expert determination services.

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting HIPAA Expert Determinations, ensuring that health data is de-identified in compliance with HIPAA standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement privacy-preserving methodologies, leveraging advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms. Your work will directly contribute to the secure exchange and utilization of health data across various stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in data science, with expertise in statistical analysis and machine learning. Experience in health data privacy, particularly in HIPAA compliance, is highly desirable. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and familiarity with data privacy regulations and methodologies, are essential. A Master's or Ph.D. in a related field is preferred.
