Data Scientist
Riskified is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Research team in Lisbon. As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in developing algorithms and analytical solutions that enhance our AI-powered fraud and risk intelligence platform. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team of experts in a collaborative environment, contributing to the company's mission of empowering businesses to grow by mitigating eCommerce risks.
In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and transforming large, complex datasets to ensure data quality and integrity. You will apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns and develop predictive models. Additionally, you will design and engineer new features to enhance model performance, build and optimize machine learning models, and present complex analysis results to stakeholders using data visualization techniques. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions in production environments is also a key aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate holds a B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with over three years of experience in designing and implementing machine learning algorithms in production settings. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data manipulation tools is essential, along with a solid foundation in statistical concepts and techniques. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working effectively in cross-functional teams are also required.
