Deputy Program Manager (TS/SCI Clearance Required)
Red Cell Partners is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to lead the execution of a large, software-intensive, AI-enabled Department of Defense program transitioning from prototype to sustained operational use. This role operates primarily remotely from the Washington, DC area, with frequent in-person meetings with government and industry partners. The position requires a hands-on operator comfortable managing AI-driven systems and capable of stepping in as Acting Program Manager when needed.
Key responsibilities include overseeing daily execution across multiple software and data-centric workstreams, translating capability goals into executable plans, tracking tasking and delivery status, and identifying and removing blockers to ensure timely delivery. The role also involves operating within DoD software acquisition pathways, enabling Agile or Hybrid delivery frameworks, and managing risks and trade-offs effectively.
Candidates must have over seven years of experience managing or leading software-intensive DoD programs, including experience as a Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager. An active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required, along with residency in the Washington, DC area and willingness to attend frequent in-person meetings. Demonstrated ownership of day-to-day program execution and hands-on experience with Agile or Hybrid software delivery frameworks are essential.
