Design & Creative Lead, Education Content
The Design & Creative Lead, Education Content at Canva is responsible for guiding the creative strategy and execution of Canva's education content ecosystem. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team to produce high-impact content tailored for K–12 teachers, students, schools, and learning environments, ensuring that resources such as lesson materials, projects, worksheets, and interactive content are both engaging and educationally effective.
Key responsibilities include establishing long-term creative strategies across product and marketplace, managing and mentoring a team of content creatives, overseeing end-to-end content creation, and ensuring all content meets learning, cultural, and accessibility standards. The role also involves collaborating with various teams to align content with real classroom needs and developing scalable creative frameworks for K–12 audiences.
Candidates should have 6-10 years of experience in a similar creative leadership role, with a strong background in developing creative strategies for diverse user types. Experience with AI tools in creative workflows, content creation across multiple formats, translating data into creative decisions, and mentoring junior creatives is essential. Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices is also required. Experience in designing for educational contexts, especially K-12, is highly desired.
