Designer - Entry Level (CHI)

CannonDesign is seeking an entry-level Designer to join their multidisciplinary team in Chicago. This role focuses on design and technical aspects, collaborating closely with design and technical leadership to contribute to various projects. Under the direct supervision of a Licensed Architect and project leadership, the Designer will be an integral part of project teams.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the design process using software platforms such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and SketchUp, building physical models, producing architectural documentation, and creating graphics materials for client presentations. The Designer will also assist with product research, building code information, review of shop drawings, and may participate in site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field, with a strong creative design portfolio. Proficiency in Revit and Enscape is preferred, while proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite is required. Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to handle multiple projects.

The salary range for this position in the Chicago office is $25.43 to $28.61 per hour.
