The Director of Business Development for Group 5 Mission Autonomy at Anduril Industries will lead efforts to identify, shape, and capture new opportunities in high-performance autonomous systems. This role is part of the Air Dominance and Strike Division, which focuses on developing next-generation collaborative combat aircraft, missiles, and the software that powers these autonomous weapons. Key responsibilities include supporting the Group 5 Air Vehicle, Mission Autonomy division through strategic initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, and managing an accurate sales pipeline. The director will analyze existing and prospective customer bases to develop capture strategies, revenue forecasts, and drive technology development plans. Coordination across the Air Dominance and Strike Division and facilitation of internal communications are essential, including shaping and preparing customer outreach and engagements. The role also involves partnering with various Anduril organizations such as Marketing and Communications, Product and Engineering, and Government Relations.

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the defense sector, including prior experience with target customers across the Department of Defense and a working understanding of government acquisition. Experience working with U.S. Air Force program offices and a strong understanding of the U.S. Air Force customer community, requirements process, and operational needs are required. The ability to establish and maintain important customer relationships with senior-level officials and program stakeholders is essential. Excellent writing and communication skills, experience presenting to senior executives and customers, and a willingness to travel up to 50% are also necessary. Candidates must currently possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred qualifications include real-world operational experience in the U.S. Air Force flying tactical fighter aircraft, military service requirements authorship and/or acquisitions leadership experience, and a high sense of personal ownership. The ability to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial, and creative environment, demonstrated ability to lead and influence people through both formal and informal constructs, and experience working with classified and/or special access programs are also desirable.

The salary range for this role is $191,000 to $253,000 USD annually.
