Director, Data Management
The Director of Data Management at eClinical Solutions is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, timely, and cost-effective clinical data management services across global programs and studies. This role involves leading Clinical Data Management teams, ensuring operational excellence, and driving the modernization of data management capabilities through the adoption of advanced technologies. The position reports to the Vice President of Clinical Data Management and plays a critical role in advancing the organization's data management practices.
Key responsibilities include providing day-to-day leadership and strategic direction for Clinical Data Management teams, ensuring services meet customer expectations and organizational objectives. The Director is tasked with driving operational excellence through effective planning, resource management, risk management, financial oversight, and performance monitoring. Additionally, the role involves establishing and monitoring key operational metrics related to quality, productivity, utilization, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. A significant aspect of the role is to lead the modernization of Clinical Data Management operations by adopting AI/ML-enabled data review, advanced analytics, automation, and Risk-Based Quality/Data Management methodologies.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related discipline. A minimum of 12 years of progressive Clinical Data Management experience, including leading global delivery teams and customer-facing data management programs, is required. Demonstrated experience in managing complex customer relationships and serving as a trusted advisor to sponsors and key stakeholders is essential. Strong leadership and organizational management capabilities, including building, developing, and leading high-performing teams, are crucial. Experience in implementing data management modernization initiatives, such as analytics-driven processes, automation, or AI-enabled capabilities, is preferred.
Compensation for this role includes a salary range of $160,000 to $210,000 USD annually.
