Director, Ethics & Compliance Business Partner
The Director, Ethics & Compliance Business Partner at Legend Biotech is a pivotal role within the Compliance team, based in Bridgewater, NJ. This position directly supports the Commercial and Medical teams, providing subject matter expertise and leading the development of policies, training, and communications. The role reports directly to the Global Head of Compliance and collaborates closely with senior leaders to align compliance strategies.
Key responsibilities include embedding seamlessly with the business to offer clear, timely, and solutions-oriented compliance advice. The Director will provide thought leadership on emerging risks and enforcement trends, oversee processes associated with the engagement of healthcare professionals and organizations, and guide the development of compliance frameworks for interactions with key external stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves overseeing product material reviews to ensure compliance with corporate standards and conducting live training sessions to educate business partners.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a related field, with a master's degree in business, accounting, or a JD preferred. A minimum of 8 years of compliance and/or pharmaceutical industry experience is required, along with solid experience in a global pharmaceutical company managing projects with significant stakeholder involvement. Extensive experience advising Commercial and Medical Affairs, knowledge of advisory boards, speaker programs, and fair market value compliance principles are essential. A strong understanding of compliance processes common to the U.S. biotech/pharmaceutical industry and familiarity with healthcare compliance and enforcement environments are also necessary.
